T Minus 12 hours...

Having a hard time realizing that in a little over 12 hours I'll be starting the journey over. I can't believe how quickly this day has snuck up on me. I guess considering what a busy summer it's been, it makes sense. In addition to babysitting 4 days a week I'm going to try to compile a list of other fun KC summer activities, so as I'm reading back through the blog later I can reflect and remember what a perfect summer it's been. I really want to thank everyone who has helped make the following list of activities possible. It's been a really amazing summer, and I want to thank you!

- Trip with Caroline to Chicago
- Biking the Katy Trail
- Trip with Aunt Gina to Colorado to visit Kate, Keith and Lucy
- The Waldo Crawldo
- Abby's Wedding
- Kelli's Wedding
- Lunches with GWE girls
- Runs in Loose Park
- Attempted Shakespeare in The Park
- Harry Potter double feature
- Tuesdays at the Boulevard
- BBQs with great friends
- Denim and Diamonds
- Clay Walker at PNL
- Royals Games (only made it to 4 this year, BUT was on the jumbo tron the first and last games I went to!)
- Sporting KC game
- Wine Weekend
- Surprise going away party (yes, I was VERY surprised)
- Family going away party (yes, there was DELICIOUS mexican food)
- Family reunions
- Bucca di Beppo and nights on the plaza
- finally going to Hamburger Mary's

I'm sure there's so much more that I'm forgetting. My brain is slightly cluttered right now with last minute preparations for the flight out tomorrow and I'm watching True Grit with my parents. So, needless to say I'm a little distracted. I'm not sure what the internet situation looks like at the hotel on base. If there isn't wifi in the rooms, I know there is an internet cafe not to far away on base. I'll try to update again soon to let everyone know I made it safely. Love you all!

Next post: Germany!

  1. The time stamp on these posts is really off! I'm going to work on fixing that, if anyone out there with a blog knows how to, I would appreciate some pointers!

  2. I think I figured it out, hopefully from here on out, it will be the correct time stamp!

  3. Go to Blog Settings and click on the Formatting Tab. There will options for the time stamp. It sounds like you have the wrong time zone. Maybe it thinks you are already in Europe :-)
